Bit of an update…

We’re now into March(!), so I thought it was time for an update. I’ve been loving training for the Great Ocean Road Marathon with the Runna app. It’s had me doing all sorts of runs that I wouldn’t have done in the past – my previous approach to training had been just to run as much as I could and hope for the best! Following a training plan has felt a lot more structured, and I really can feel the benefits, and am feeling a lot fitter and a lot more confident.

Diet-wise I have struggled as always – good intentions only ever seem to carry me so far. I seem to be an all or nothing type of person. Either I eat none of the biscuits or all of the biscuits, there’s no inbetween. So for the last 5 days I have been fasting – no breakfast, meal replacement shake for lunch and then a small portion of whatever is for dinner. It is working, but I worry about how to maintain a healthy weight once I get there. In addition to this, I have also stopped drinking soft drink, which I have actually found easier than I thought, hopefully I can keep it up!
